Riding for rights is an educational game to raise awarness of gender inequalities.
Pedagogical purposes
At the end of the activity, players will be able to :
- Perceive the different spheres of society that generate inequalities,
- Differentiate between what is part of cultural context and what is part of universalism,
- Perceive the different forms of discrimination.
Goal of the game
The goal is to take your horse piece to your stable… Very easy ? Not sure, because each team has 4 rules cards face down in front of them. As soon as a team arrives in a new colour area, the team must flip the corresponding rule card. And, you know what ? The rules aren’t the same for every team… but shh ! The facilitator is the only ones who knows that. The players shouldn’t be informed right away !
Then, to progress, the team must draw Joker cards or Event cards. And by the end, once the horse of your team has completed his race around the board, 6 questions must be answered correctly to win the game.
