An educational game to think about access to food.
Pedagogical purposes
This tool is designed to discover the SDG n°2 « Zero Hunger » and the underyling SDGs.
It also initiates a reflexion on individual and collective choices regarding food, with the aim of achieving the SDG “Zero Hunger”.
Game objectives
At the end of the activity, high players will be able to :
– Identify certain issues related to access to food for all.
– Present the link between individual and collective choices on this acess to food.
Animation sequence
The game is suitable for 3 to 12 players, but can be played on several game tables in parallel.
Imagination : « You are in Miam territory and your goal is to feed the 8 billion human beings properly and sustainably until 2030. You have a stock of food and a stock of water to start with, but you’ll have to go out and find additional reserves to be able to eat and drink. The aim is to finish the game with as many players alive as possible. »
During each phase of the round, players can discuss, negociate, threaten and so on. But, no promises have to be kept … Players can play individually, keeping their cards for themselves, or collectively.
